Glaurung & Túrin

When I was fifteen I had my room wallpapered with works of Alan Lee, John Howe and Ted Nasmith. For many years they became the main window to visually visit Middle-Earth and the Undying Lands.

I have always wanted to recreate Tolkien's mythology, but due to lack of skill and time I have never been able to. Finally I collected the courage to try. This is the result. I hope you like it.

Done in Softimage, Zbrush, Mari and Photoshop.

The Last Stand

Almost a year has passed since my last full composition. Every day I have less and less spare time and more uncountable working hours at the studio. But finally I have finished my last work, done with Softimage, Zbrush, Mari and Photoshop.

Creating this image I’ve learned a lot of Mari and I’ve tried to improve my Zbrush skill. It has been fun and instructive!

I want to thank David Muñoz Velazquez and Juan Siquier for their sound advice and well-aimed remarks in discussing earlier versions of this work.
